I'm KArla, some of you already know me but if not let me tell you something about me: I'm 23 years old and I'm a Senior Dentist.......finally, after 5 long years!!!

I'd like to find a job related to my degree but as I´m taking the Writing Advanced Course that's almost impossible. I've been studying English since I was 3 or maybe 4....don't really remember 'cause I was almost a baby.

I really enjoy exercising myself practicing spinning, yoga and pilates in my free time.

My name is Dalila, I´m 5th semester student of Latin American Studies and I´m sure that we will enjoy this course too much.

The strongerst reason for being in this class is because writing is my passion, the activity that I need and feel all my life.

I like reading mistery or fiction stories, writing (obviously) and listening music, specially blues, jazz and rock; I prefer the classics.

Oh! I have four little dogs wich use to eat (or to urinate) my homework and everything they find, I hope they have mercy to me in this course. :D

I'm Carlos Ramírez, I'm 21 years old. I study veterinary (9th semester). I really like my career, it's so difficult because you learn lots of things about different domestic animals and finally choose one to have more specific knowledge. I thing each animal specie is very interesting.


This is my third advanced course in CELE and I think it's very entertaining.

My name is Jazmín. I´m in the 7th semester of Food Chemistry. I enjoy studying my major because it´s really interesting all the reactions that happen inside and outside the food. I don´t know in which area I´m going to specialize some of my options are biotechnology, nutrition, process or quality.

When I have free time I love to read any kind of novels, recently I feel some interest in thrillers the ones that I had read about this genre are: El psicoanalista (The Analyst) by John Katzenbach and Se lo que estas pensando (Think of a number) by John Verdon.

On the weekends I like to spend time with my family. We usually go to the movies. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends.

I hope that at the end of the semester I will improve my writing.

Introducing myself

Hello everyone, my name is Lourdes but almost everybody calls me Lulú. I was born in a small town named Atoyac in Guerrero State. I have been living in Mexico City since 1985. I got my major in Chemistry (actually Chemistry Pharmacy and Biology, QFB). Then I have studied two masters, one of them in Science and the other in Criminalistics. Unfortunately, I haven’t presented my thesis because I had to stop working in my research and looked  for a job. Now a days I am working as a teacher at the UNAM and as an expert in Forensic Genetics in a private laboratory. Hopefully I will finish my  thesis and study a PhD. I am really glad to be in this writing course. I am sure that I will learn a lot with Shelley!!

Hello everyone!!

I'm Sandra, I'm supposedly studying the last semester (9th) of International Affairs. Currently, I'm working in a Research Institute so I will be more time at University, because it would be impossible to take all my subjects and still working.

I used to study french  at CELE but nowadays I don't have enough time to do such a thing so I'm taking an online course. On the other hand, I chose the English Writing Course because I really enjoy doing this activity but I'm not as good as I'd wish to be. I know I have to improve a lot of things and I'm confident this course will help me.

I like reading, learning new things, visiting new places, hanging out with my boyfriend, talking with my friends, going to the cinema, sleeping...

Some of my expectatives of this course are improving my writing skills and organize better my ideas while I'm writing, trying that make sense :)
My hobbies are listening to music (I like EBM, Industrial, gothic metal and darkwave music), hanging out with my friends, reading a good book (such as novels, dark poetry and a little bit of philosophy books) and taking care of my pets. I also love animals and environment, that's the reason I've become vegetarian (I'm doing my best).

I'm so sure I'm going to enjoy this class, I'm lucky because I'm going to take classes with Shelley again :D

Well, I´m Alejandra González, I´m 21 years old and I´m studying Computer Engineering at CU in the seventh semester.

For this course I really would like to learn a lot of things about how to write english without almost any problem, because most of the times this work is kind of hard and difficult for me, but I hope by the end of the semester I can do it better.

In my free time I like to go out with my friends, go to movies, to the park or some peacefull places. But also I like to be with my family and talk with them for hours.

Hi everyone! my name is Kady Leon Wu. As you can notice, I have Chinese origins, due to my mom.

I am studying Managment at FCA UNAM, I love math and dealing with numbers, so I might especialize in the Operations area.

One of the things I do not like about society is how employees treat customers and create a bad corporative image for the enterprise they are working for.
