Hello everyone, my name is Lourdes but almost everybody calls me Lulú. I was born in a small town named Atoyac in Guerrero State. I have been living in Mexico City since 1985. I got my major in Chemistry (actually Chemistry Pharmacy and Biology, QFB). Then I have studied two masters, one of them in Science and the other in Criminalistics. Unfortunately, I haven’t presented my thesis because I had to stop working in my research and looked for a job. Now a days I am working as a teacher at the UNAM and as an expert in Forensic Genetics in a private laboratory. Hopefully I will finish my thesis and study a PhD. I am really glad to be in this writing course. I am sure that I will learn a lot with Shelley!!
Hi Lulu! Wow - forensic genetics? Can you tell us more about that some time? It sounds very interesting. All the best with this course! Now I see there are four people in the class who are studying or have studied Chemistry. Last semester I had a lot of people from Business Administration, but I think the QFBs take the cake this time!
